Internet Society Fellowship Program 2026/2027 for Community Internet Builders

The Internet Society Fellowship Program is a 10 month leadership and learning experience for people already doing Internet work in their communities. Fellows get a dedicated mentor, a project stipend of up to USD 5,000, travel support to one Internet event and a place in a global alumni network. The first step is not the application, it is the free pre-fellowship training, which must be finished before 22 November 2026.

Eligibility: You are working on a project, advocacy, training or community initiative with a clear local Internet impact

Funding or benefit

A project stipend of up to USD 5,000, released on submission and approval of the project budget. Fellows also receive travel support to attend one global or regional Internet event relevant to their work. Enrolling in the pre-fellowship training does not by itself grant these benefits; they go to participants who complete the application and selection process and are offered a place.
