About this opportunity
Talent is spread evenly. Opportunity is not.
That is the line the Aspire Institute builds its programme around, and it is the reason founders and first generation professionals in Nigeria keep coming back to it. The Aspire Leaders Program was founded inside Harvard and is now run by the independent Aspire Institute.
It is a six week, fully online, self paced leadership programme that takes 3 to 5 hours a week and is delivered through live sessions rather than pre recorded video. Cohort 4 runs from 21 October to 30 November 2026 and is open on the provider page, while Cohort 3, which ran 22 July to 20 September 2026, is listed as closed.
The programme is free, with no application fee, no tuition and no catch. What participants describe is access: mentorship and professional development, learning experiences with Harvard faculty, international networking with a cohort drawn from around the world, a free certificate of completion and entry into an alumni community of more than 100,000 leaders across 195 countries, plus access to alumni funding opportunities long after the six weeks end.
Eligibility
is narrow on purpose. You must be 18 to 29, currently enrolled in or already graduated from a university programme, and from a first generation or limited income background.
Nationality is not the filter, and the Institute names Nigeria among the countries its learners come from. The application itself is a 10 minute form.
The cohort page is where you start, and applications for Cohort 4 close on 16 October 2026.
