About this opportunity
Applications are now open for the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Grant to implement the initiative “Leveraging IFAD’s Rural Sector Performance Assessment (RSPA) for Policy and Investment. ” The grant supports organizations working to strengthen rural development policies, improve investment planning, and generate evidence that drives sustainable agricultural and rural transformation.

Eligibility
The call is open to: Non-profit organizations Private sector companies Universities Think tanks Research institutes Consortia Applicants must demonstrate strong technical expertise and institutional experience in rural development, policy analysis, research, and knowledge management.
Focus Areas
Projects should contribute to one or more of the following areas: Rural development Agricultural policy Public policy Investment planning Research and knowledge management Evidence-based policymaking Sustainable development Food systems Expected Outcomes The grant seeks to support initiatives that will: Improve rural sector policy frameworks Strengthen evidence-based decision-making Enhance investment planning Build institutional capacity Promote sustainable rural development Funding Successful applicants can receive up to USD 1. 2 million to implement projects aligned with IFAD’s rural development priorities.
Selected organizations must provide a counterpart contribution of at least 20% of the grant amount , while private sector institutions are required to contribute 25% . In-kind contributions may also be considered.
