About this opportunity
The NASA Space Apps Challenge 2026 is inviting students, developers, scientists, designers, entrepreneurs, researchers and space enthusiasts from around the world to participate in a free global hackathon focused on solving real-world challenges using NASA data. Participants will work individually or in teams during the two-day hackathon to develop innovative solutions addressing challenges related to Earth, space, science, technology and climate.

The challenge is open to people from different backgrounds and skill levels, including: Students Developers and programmers Scientists and researchers Engineers Designers Entrepreneurs Data enthusiasts Artists and storytellers Technology enthusiasts Space and science enthusiasts No specific academic degree or professional background is required.
The challenge is global, and participants do not need to be U. S.
citizens to participate.
