About this opportunity

Continental Reinsurance Plc has opened entries for the 12th edition of the Pan-African Re/Insurance Journalism Awards (2027), Africa's leading platform celebrating excellence in insurance, risk and resilience reporting. The awards honour journalists shaping conversations around insurance and reinsurance across the continent.

Print, online, broadcast and social media journalists whose work was published or broadcast between 1 February 2026 and 31 January 2027 can enter in English, French or Arabic. New for this cycle is the Best Re/Insurance Social Media Entry category, recognising digital creators who make insurance stories more accessible and engaging.

An independent panel of judges from the media, business and insurance sectors evaluates every submission. Winners receive certificates, trophies and cash prizes and are celebrated at the awards ceremony in April 2027, while the Dr. Femi Oyetunji Future Talent Award spotlights one emerging journalist chosen by the panel.
