About this opportunity
The Data Protection Leadership Fellowship is TechSocietal's answer to a growing need, a generation of Nigerian ethical, practical and people-centred data protection officers. Selected fellows receive full sponsorship for the IIM Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO) training and full sponsorship for the IIM CDPO Certification Examination, alongside applied protection modules developed by TechSocietal and mentorship from experienced practitioners.
The programme grounds its case studies in real Nigerian and African contexts, connects fellows to a growing community of practice, and prints the opportunity to join TechSocietal's Data Protection Support Hub serving SMEs after successful completion. There is no cash stipend published, the value sits in the sponsored training, the certification and the practice network around it.
The fellowship welcomes applications from professionals and emerging practitioners passionate about protecting people in the digital age. TechSocietal encourages in particular women professionals, young professionals and recent graduates, lawyers, technology, cybersecurity, compliance, governance and risk professionals, data analysts, digital policy practitioners, civil society practitioners and researchers, and professionals supporting SMEs and startups.
