About this opportunity
The Bill and Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health, working with the Fuller Project, is looking for journalism that links people, population and the health of the planet. Winning stories explore themes such as climate migration, heat and health, or how a changing environment shapes families in a given community.
The prize carries two US$500 awards. A reel, a blog post, an article, a podcast or a newsletter can all win, as long as the story was published in 2026.
Entering is free and takes one form with a headline, a summary of about 150 words and a thumbnail. Winning and selected submissions are shared with audiences across the planetary health, demography and sexual and reproductive health and rights communities, which gives strong reporting a wide and dedicated readership.
