About this opportunity
The ECO Fellows Program 2027 is a funded, hands on training opportunity for young leaders working on nature, peace and collective action, run by ArtPeace: Earth with the Network for Education and Research on Peace and Sustainability at Hiroshima University. Visa costs, round trip transportation, shared accommodation, training and conference registration fees and meals are all provided for selected Fellows, and there is no application fee.
The programme begins with online dialogues from November 2026 to February 2027, at about 5 hours a month, then moves to Jakarta for a four day training in creative facilitation for environmental peacebuilding and attendance at the NERPS 2027 conference. Fellows must be present for full days from 13 to 19 March 2027, arriving on 12 March and departing on 20 March, at roughly 12 hours a day with breaks.
Follow up networking, collaboration and publication opportunities close the year. ArtPeace: Earth describes the fellowship as professional development rather than an event ticket, and says priority goes to candidates who show a genuine, active interest in the skills building and community side of the programme.
Applications ask for a two minute phone video, one piece of your own art or a photograph of a place in nature that matters to you, three short answers and a CV. Any country is welcome, provided you hold a valid passport and can reach Jakarta.
ArtPeace: Earth and NERPS support visa applications, but you must be able to secure the visa and attend in person to take the place. The
