About this opportunity
GIBC V2 is the second edition of the Global Innovation Build Challenge, an online hackathon that asks student builders to apply AI and large language models to real problem tracks in medtech, finance and open innovation. The rewards are weighted towards the compute and tooling credits students actually need to keep building: $300 in Featherless AI credits, $700 in Adaption Labs credits and $1,000 in credits with a three month plus plan, alongside other sponsor prizes.
Eligibility
is deliberately narrow and friendly at the same time: students only, ages 13 and up, from all countries and territories. That means Nigerian and African students can enter directly.
Registration happens on the event's Devpost page, and builds are submitted before 1 October 2026, 15:45 GMT. If you are a student with an AI prototype idea, this is a low risk way to test it and bank some credits.
