About this opportunity
The Global Landscapes Forum runs its Social Media Ambassadors Program as a global online volunteer initiative for young digital storytellers, content creators and advocates. The idea is simple: the people who live closest to a landscape should be the ones telling its story, so the programme backs creators who can bring local knowledge and lived experience into the conversation on sustainable landscapes.
Ambassadors keep their own channels and use them to reframe how land, climate and nature are covered, working with the hashtags #ThinkLandscape and #ActLandscape. Along the way they join a global network of peers, partner organisations and leading institutions in the Forum community. Past ambassadors have received training sessions in content creation, access to digital learning platforms, online and in person meetups, a place at hybrid Forum events and, in some editions, sponsored travel to cover Forum events as social media correspondents across Africa, Latin America and Asia.
The programme asks for creators between 18 and 35 years old who are motivated to contribute to a community of changemakers through their own channels. It is open worldwide, and the Forum received more than 1,300 applications from across the globe for the 2026 edition, so the pool is competitive and the fit matters more than follower counts.
Applications for the 2027 cohort close on 17 October 2026 at 23:59 GMT. The call runs once a year and is submitted through the Forum application form, with no fee to apply.
