About this opportunity
The Kectil Youth Leadership Program takes a year of steady online work rather than a weekend workshop. It is free to apply, delivered entirely online, and the organiser reports that more than 14,000 young people from over 100 countries have been accepted across its past ten years.
The modules cover leadership, peace and conflict resolution, financial skills, youth mental health, entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability. Alongside them sits community engagement and project work, candid discussion of global issues on a platform the organiser describes as non-political and non-religious, and a permanent global network of young leaders from developing countries.
Applications come from young leaders aged 17 to 26 in developing countries, on the organiser's own form covering personal details and leadership experience. No IELTS or other language test is required.
A certificate of completion is merit based and awarded on performance, and accepted participants are expected to take part actively and regularly across the full year.
