About this opportunity
Moonhack brings kids from across the world together for two weeks of coding. The 2026 edition launches seven new projects in Scratch, Python, AI and micro:bit, all built around the theme of online safety and security.
It is free, easy and hands on, so a group can get coding no matter where they are. Anyone can gather a group and take part, in a classroom, a library, an office or a Code Club.
Educators, parents, volunteers and partners all support the clubs, and every Code Club is free to join. The event runs 14 to 30 October 2026, the submission button goes live on 14 October, and project submissions close on 14 November 2026.
Registration is quick: complete the registration form on the Moonhack site and follow the guided steps from launch to landing. Suitable for kids ages 7 to 15.
