About this opportunity

A great product in women’s health still needs a brand that customers, investors and partners can trust at first glance. That is exactly the gap the WomanKind Creative Grant is built to close. WomanKind Alliance, a nonprofit that supports companies developing solutions in women’s health, is offering a selected startup a full branding and design partnership valued at US$15,000, sponsored by creative agency Alfa Charlie. The support is delivered as professional services rather than a cash payment, so the winning company does not pay the usual cost of the engagement.

The partnership runs six weeks and is scheduled to kick off in mid January 2027. It opens with a six hour brand strategy workshop covering your core values, target audience, competitors, market positioning, unique strengths and brand personality. From there the agency develops your visual identity, including the logo, colour palette, typography recommendations and other visual elements, and hands over a Brand Compass Book. The final week focuses on priority brand assets such as pitch decks and packaging, and afterwards you get three follow up consultations to review how the branding is landing, gather feedback and work through questions as they come up.

Every startup innovating in women’s health is encouraged to apply, from reproductive and menstrual health to diagnostics, healthcare access and other areas of women’s healthcare, with a warm spot reserved for femtech, where some of the most impactful innovation is happening today. WomanKind uses an inclusive definition of women’s health that recognises the experiences of cisgender women, transgender women and non binary people who identify as women. All stages are welcome, though the grant suits early stage and Series A companies that are gaining traction and preparing for growth, and founders who are ready for a full rebrand. Applications are open worldwide, including founders based in Africa, with one practical note: shortlisted founders need to be available for meetings during the organisers’ standard hours of 8am to 5pm Pacific Standard Time.

This winter edition opened on 1 October and closes on 1 November 2026. Every applicant is invited to a 30 minute video call by mid December, the main winner is notified by 31 December 2026, and other applicants hear back in early January 2027. WomanKind normally selects one main winner twice a year and may occasionally offer microgrants or strategy workshops to other applicants, though those extra awards are not guaranteed. Judging looks at the originality of your approach, the potential impact of your product or service, how clearly you communicate your mission, evidence that you understand the problem you are solving, and how much you would genuinely benefit from a full brand strategy and identity. The application form is on the official WomanKind page, applications stay private, and if you want a non disclosure agreement signed before submitting you can arrange it by emailing hello@designforwomankind.org first. No application fee is stated on the official page.
