About this opportunity
The Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science & Technology has opened the Young Scientists Initiative, a fully funded programme designed to move young Nigerians from curiosity to capability in science, technology and innovation. Everything is free and Ministry-funded: industry-standard training modules across 8 specialised innovation tracks that cover AI, data, agritech, energy, healthtech and more, plus timed assessments, a three-day zonal bootcamp, certification, mentorship and an alumni network.
There is also an opportunity desk at the end of it, connecting participants to job and pitch connections, including the chance to pitch ideas and connect to grants. Applications run from 18 September to 2 October 2026.
