About this opportunity
Most entrepreneurship programmes ask for a company that already raised money. AwardX International 2026 asks for something smaller and more honest, a high school student with a business running or a business idea not built yet, and a pitch.
The organiser states the scope plainly on the competition page, that AwardX International is open to high school students anywhere in the world with a passion for entrepreneurship, and that if you have got a business already up and running, or just a great idea you haven't built yet, we want to see it. It adds that there are no location restrictions for this one, so a founder pitching from Lagos or Nairobi is competing on the same terms as anyone else.
The prize table on the page lists the winner at 1st $5000 Cash, Full Scholarship to LaunchX Online Flagship Program, Certificate, LinkedIn Badges, and the finalists at 1st $3,000 Scholarship to LaunchX Online Flagship Program, Certificate, LinkedIn Badges. The feed announcement that carried the round describes the same award as a $5,000 cash prize for the winning founder or team, a full scholarship to the LaunchX Online Flagship Program for the winner, and a $3,000 LaunchX program scholarship for each of the top 10 finalists.
Entering costs nothing. The rules print that the submission fee per team to participate is FREE, and that submissions must be for companies or company pitches by high school students, with each entry reviewed against the organiser's rubric.
The round runs in five steps. Teams submit the application by Nov 14, which for this edition falls on 14 November 2026.
An optional Audience Vote Video can be added by Nov 26, published to the AwardX YouTube channel, where the page notes you will get points for watches, likes, and shares. Finalists are announced on Nov 28, all finalists pitch at the live online Demo Day on Dec 12, and the winner is announced on Dec 17.
For a young founder the value is not only the money. A LaunchX Online Flagship Program scholarship is a season of structured build support, and pitching at a live online Demo Day puts the work in front of judges and a room.
AwardX is run by LaunchX LLC, and the registration block on the competition page carries the organiser's privacy notice. If you are in high school and already selling something, or you have an idea you cannot stop thinking about, the pitch window is open now and closes on 14 November 2026.
