About this opportunity
ChangemakerXchange has opened the second cohort of its Changemakers for Youth programme, a nine month journey for social entrepreneurs between 18 and 35 who already run ventures that put young people at the centre.
The programme runs online and in person. Participants join a tailored capacity building track led by practitioners with lived experience, then meet for a five day summit in a nature based location in their region. The point of the gathering is connection as much as content, since changemakers work best when they stop working alone.
From late March 2027 the cohort can apply seed funding toward cross-border projects they design together. ChangemakerXchange covers accommodation, catering, local transport during the summit, venue, materials and facilitation, while participants arrange their own travel and visa to the summit city.
Applications opened 13 October 2026 and close 9 November 2026 at 23:59 UTC+2. Shortlisted applicants interview between 20 November and 19 December 2026, and final decisions land 13 January 2027.

Questions applicants ask
Who is the programme for?
Young social entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35 in the eight eligible countries who lead tangible, youth-led initiatives with proven impact on social, educational, economic or environmental challenges.
Why is this cohort limited to certain countries?
ChangemakerXchange runs region focused programmes so logistics stay manageable and participants build connections with changemakers from neighbouring countries. This cohort covers the countries where its work and that of the Drosos Foundation overlap.
Do I need to be the founder of the venture?
No. You do not need to be the original founder, but you must hold a leadership or decision-making role, so employees and volunteers without one are not eligible.
What does the programme cost?
There is no application fee. The programme covers summit costs on site, while participants generally arrange their own travel and visa to the summit city.
