About this opportunity
Daejin University and the Inter-University Council for East Africa have opened the call for the March 2027 intake of their scholarship scheme for students from East African Community Partner States. It creates a structured route for eligible East African students to pursue a degree in South Korea.
For this intake there are two undergraduate programmes, International Business and International Politics, and one master's programme, International Business. All three are taught in English. The undergraduate degrees run four years and the master's runs two years.
The support differs by level. Undergraduate beneficiaries receive full tuition and dormitory coverage for the first year, and around sixteen students are expected each year, two from each of the eight eligible countries. Master's beneficiaries receive tuition and accommodation waivers for the first semester, after which continued support depends on academic performance. Students are responsible for airfare, application fees, health insurance and meals, and the Korean Government allows international students to take part time work within the applicable rules.
Applicants must be citizens and residents of one of the eight partner states and must gather their academic, identification, English proficiency and financial documents, including a bank statement and balance proof. IUCEA manages the initial application and a merit based first selection, then Daejin University runs the final admission. The
