About this opportunity

The Drawbridge Grant is an initiative by ProMoat Capital to support small and medium sized businesses in Nigeria and to connect with promising enterprises. Two businesses will receive grants of 1,000,000 naira and 500,000 naira, a total of 1,500,000 naira. The grants are non-repayable and recipients do not give up any equity in their businesses.

The programme is open to registered Nigerian businesses with paying customers in any sector, including retail, agriculture, manufacturing, services and software. A business must be registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, either as a business name or as a company, and must generate actual revenue. A dedicated business bank account is not compulsory but counts in the applicant's favour, and it would also be used to receive the grant. Winners can use the funds for stock and inventory, equipment and tools, marketing, hiring staff and other business growth expenses outlined in their applications.

Every application is reviewed by ProMoat Capital's investment team. The online form takes about 20 minutes and does not require a pitch deck or a formal business plan. Shortlisted businesses are contacted for an initial phone or video interview in November 2026, finalists hold a deeper interview in December 2026 covering customers, financial performance and the proposed use of the grant, and the two successful businesses are announced and paid in January 2027. Applications close on 31 October 2026, and ProMoat Capital says the grant will run again for anyone who misses this round.
