About this opportunity
The Yale World Fellows programme is now accepting applications for the 2027 cohort. Yale describes it as the university's flagship four-month, full-time residential program for extraordinary leaders from across the globe who serve, inspire and motivate others, based at the International Leadership Center, now housed in the Jackson School of Global Affairs.
The
Eligibility
rule is a citizenship one. The programme page states that applicants must be citizens of a country other than the United States, and it welcomes leaders from fields including public policy, healthcare, education, business, technology, international development and social entrepreneurship, so Nigerian and other African citizens are inside the stated pool.
Applications close on Wednesday, 2 December at 14:00 PM Eastern Time. Submissions go through the programme's own online application system, and the page notes that recommenders upload letters inside that system rather than by email.
Two things worth knowing before you start. The programme page does not print a stipend or award figure, so read the award terms in the application portal before you plan a four month absence from work.
And the Fellows centre states that individual application feedback cannot be given because of the volume received, so treat the application itself as the whole case you make.
