About this opportunity
The EQUALS Global Partnership is now seeking applications for the 2027 EQUALS in Tech Awards, recognising outstanding ongoing initiatives, programmes, projects, products and services that use technology to advance digital gender equality and help close the digital gender divide. First launched in 2014, the Awards recognise efforts at the global, regional and national levels that use technology to transform the lives of women and girls.
Under the renewed EQUALS 2. 0 framework the 2027 edition introduces three award categories aligned with the partnership's current workstreams: the Emerging Tech for Inclusion Award, for initiatives, programmes, products or services promoting equitable access to and benefits from emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, climate technologies and other innovative digital tools, for women and girls; the Digital Skills and Leadership Pathways Award, for initiatives equipping women and girls with digital skills, strengthening their leadership capabilities and opportunities and providing scalable pathways to leadership roles in the digital economy; and the Safe and Inclusive Digital Spaces Award, for initiatives promoting safe, inclusive and empowering digital environments in which women and girls can participate fully and benefit from digital technologies, free from online violence, harassment and exclusion.
EQUALS is seeking applications for initiatives of all sizes, from every region. Eligible applications are independently reviewed and assessed on impact, reach, scalability and replicability, innovation and collaboration.
