Her Startup Cohort 2.0 is open to African women founders, co-founders and CEOs aged 18 to 35 who run a tech-enabled business with an MVP in market and at least US$500 in monthly revenue sustained for six months. The programme gives 12 weeks of training, a monthly stipend during the programme, six months of hands-on mentorship and a pitch to the Investment Committee for 5,000 USD in start-up capital. Applications close 26 October 2026.

The National Youth Pension Literacy Essay Competition is the youth writing prize of Nigeria’s National Pension Week 2026, run by the National Pension Commission. Secondary school students and tertiary or NYSC participants write on “My Dream for a Great Retirement Experience in Nigeria”, and shortlisted essays go forward for national honours, cash prizes of up to ₦1,500,000, a laptop, a trophy and a certificate, with recognition at the National Pension Week gala. Entries opened on 1 October 2026 and close on 20 October 2026, and winners are announced on 26 October 2026.

Eligibility: You are a student currently enrolled in a recognised secondary school in Nigeria, entering Category A with an essay of no more than 500 words

AGORA XR Lab 2027, A Free Development Lab Where Immersive Storytellers From North Africa And The Mediterranean Build Their Projects With Up To Five Teams Selected

AGORA XR Lab is the Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival development workshop for immersive and new media storytelling. Up to five projects are selected for a lab in Thessaloniki from 6 to 11 March 2027, with a preparatory online workshop in January, five nights of accommodation and partial travel support. Teams from North Africa, the Eastern Mediterranean and South Eastern Europe can apply, and submissions close on 25 November 2026.

AGORA Docs in Progress is the Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival platform for documentaries that are close to completion. Eight to ten feature length films or documentary series from South Eastern Europe, the Eastern Mediterranean and North Africa are selected, given a mandatory online preparation workshop, and shown to buyers, co producers, festival programmers and sales agents in Thessaloniki from 6 to 11 March 2027. An EUR 30,000 cash award for audience outreach is on offer. Submissions close on 25 November 2026.

Belgrade Photo Month is accepting entries for New Talents 2027, a free open call that gives photographers of any nationality, born after 1 January 2002, the chance to show a project of eight to fifteen photographs at the festival in Serbia. Selected students study for a bachelor’s degree at a partner university, take part in leadership training and may add a semester in the United States, with applications closing on 18 November 2026.

Most students receive financial support, and 97 per cent of those admitted are helped with fees, so a family's income is not what decides who can attend.
