The Climate and Health Catalyst Awards give African researchers up to US$5,000 to turn climate and health data they already hold into finished manuscripts, policy briefs and practical guides. The award supports analysis and writing rather than new fieldwork, and pairs funding with mentorship, editing help and a regional network across nine countries.

AGNES Intra-Africa Mobility Grants 2026 for Junior Researchers (Up to EUR 3,000)

AGNES is opening two Intra-Africa Mobility Grants for junior researchers. Doctoral candidates from sub-Saharan Africa can spend one to two months at a host institution in another sub-Saharan African country, with travel, subsistence and a research allowance of up to EUR 3,000.

Eligibility: Be officially registered for a doctoral degree at a university or tertiary institute in sub-Saharan Africa at the time of application

Funding or benefit: Maximum grant covering all expenses including the host fee: up to EUR 2,300 for a one month stay, EUR 2,650 for 1.5 months, and EUR 3,000 for a two month stay. Covers travel and subsistence and can include a research allowance to the host institute on request.
